The Archdiocesan Junior High Rally is an annual day for younger adolescents (grades 6-8th) to gather together as a community to pray, share, learn and celebrate with the larger archdiocesan family their Catholic faith.
Throughout the day, youth and adults deepen their faith by participating in a wide variety of fun and faith-filled activities which focus on instructions of faith, community building, and a variety of hands-on service projects. Each year a new theme is selected which focuses on issues that affect the junior high youth.
In celebration of the Jubilee Year theme: Pilgrims of Hope, our rally will focus on what it means to share the Gospel of Christ and bring hope to those we encounter in our journey! Our theme will focus on Building the Kingdom of God, the kingdom in our hearts, our families, our schools and our community. We will break open our theme through keynotes, workshops and challenging community building activities, along with prayer experiences. Youth will also get to experience service projects, participate in our Grand Midway full of games, inflatables and crafts and conclude their experience with the celebration of the Sunday Vigil at Mass.
This year we are very excited to have Mike Cleary, Director of Youth Ministry at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugarland as our keynote speaker. He brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and experience as a dynamic speaker, presenter and storyteller. We also will have St. Cecilia Catholic Church band with us to provide music for the day!
The registration cost covers the program festivities, two meals and t-shirt as well as chaperone costs.
